Children’s Ministry
Our Children's Ministry is truly a place for kids! Through fun hands-on learning and mission projects for the whole family, we allow children to grow in their faith and begin to take on leadership roles within our church and community. At Guthrie FUMC, you will find a ministry that supports families. We want kids to connect with God in an environment that is personal, fun, safe and nurturing.
We offer interactive Sunday nursery, Children’s Church, church camps and a variety of other educational mediums to spread God's love.
Nursery & Children’s Church
Birth through fifth grade
We offer Children’s Church. Children experience singing during the church service and after Children’s Moment, the children can receive a age appropriae lesson in a small group setting.
Youth
Our goal as a Youth Group is to love students (6th through 12th grades), and to encourage and challenge students to live boldly the life Jesus Christ calls us to as Christ followers. We believe in sharing life together, living a life of worship, and serving those in need.
Sunday School

Summer Camps
The highlight of our youth program are our summer camps. We attend Camp Spark, a United Methodist discipleship camp for youth devoted to faith development, meaningful relationships, intentional worship, and lots of fun. Those on our youth leadership team spend a week at LEAD Camp. LEAD is a week-long leadership camp featuring active learning to develop leadership skills that pushes our youth to the limits of Christian community, leadership skills, discipleship, peer ministry, and hearing their call in Christ.
Confirmation
Confirmation is a time for your youth to experience the teachings of Christ and learn more about Methodist theology. It is a time to explore more of their faith journey with others. The class is taught by our team of pastors and youth director. The class begins each January and is twelve weeks long. The class will join in field trips to learn about mission opportunities, explore a Jewish temple, and experience different worship experiences.

Adult Sunday School
Sunday School class are offered for adults each Sunday from 10:30 am. Currently, we offer Sunday School class for Adults. The Sunday School class meets downstairs.
Affinity Groups
Scouting
Our scouts meet weekly. Our Cub (Pack 3850) and Boy Scouts (Troop 850) meet every Monday at 7pm in the basement.
WOMEN’S MINIISTRY
The United Methodist Women (UMW) is a group of women who are dedicated to serving God through missions, both locally and globally. We focus on ministries with women, children and youth, at home and around the world.
